The Rio Olympics relays remind us of the importance of passing a baton. Two USA men’s and women’s teams struggled in the event. When we give our life to Christ, he gives us a blank baton. We can etch on it whatever spiritual legacy we want to leave it behind. And then we can pass it off to others so that our life with Christ bears fruit beyond ourselves.
To leave a legacy, you must be intentional. How are you handling your baton? What’s on it? Who are you sharing it with? We’ll explore some of these questions as we look at Paul’s farewell address to the church leaders in Ephesus in Acts 20:17-38.
