Youth

Harvest Youth Ministries

We exist to help teenagers understand what it means to follow Jesus

We are about teenagers encountering God, making friends, growing together and making a difference. It’s about the abundant life that is found in a personal relationship with Christ. It is our belief that teenagers are not the church of tomorrow, but they are part of the church of today. We strive to encourage and equip students to bring glory to God in their schools, in their homes, in the church and in their communities. A teenager’s world is constantly changing, but we desire them to experience that God doesn’t change. This is the stability they need to live out the life God has in store for them.

Weekly Events
Youth Group – Sunday Nights Jr. High & High School 4:00-6:00pm

Our desire for Sunday nights is to provide a place for teenagers to worship, grow, share, and serve. During our times together we have games, worship, teaching, testimonies, food and so much more. We desire for Sunday nights to provide a safe place for teenagers to build relationships with one another, hear about who God is and what He has planned for their lives.

Small Groups – Wednesday Nights

Our small groups are designed to give those students who want a chance to get closer to each other and talk about what God is doing. We believe that students grow best in small groups. The small groups are gender based because we believe that it helps the students to feel comfortable sharing. Our groups are led by awesome men and women who give freely to invest in the lives of the teenagers they work with. Most small group nights include food, prayer, encouragement and time to study the Bible and discuss what God is teaching them.

Sunday School – Sunday Mornings 9:15 am during the school year

Sunday school is really designed to help students dig deeper into the Bible and to address “heart” issues. We use this time to look at issues such as theology, world views, relationships, and how to manage money. It is a great chance to get together and learn more about God’s plan for our lives.

Youth Conferences

Harvest is a part of the EFCA Central District. The youth ministry participates in the different winter retreats that the district put together for students.

Impact (High School)

This is the Central District’s winter conference for high school students. This year it will be help at Hidden Acres, and it is always a highlight of the year. There is a great speaker and awesome worship. IMPACT usually takes place the first weekend of January.

Winter Blast (Jr. High)

Winter Blast is the Central District’s winter retreat for middle school students, and is held at Hidden Acres. It’s a fun packed weekend where students are challenged to grow closer to God. Winter Blast ussualy is held the first weekend of February.

Missions & Service Projects

Our desire is to see students join in on what God is doing around the world. We are always looking for ways to encourage the students to serve.

Missions

During Spring Break (March)  and Dead Week (July), we encourage students to take a step of faith and join us for a missions trip. On the trip, we challenge them to draw closer to the Lord by serving others. It is a fun time of bonding and spiritual growth.

Service

In November both of our groups gather together to participate in Operation Christmas Child by filling shoeboxes with toys and other goodies for children in other countries.
