Freedom in Christ

Freedom in Christ

For anyone with a hurt, habit, or hang-up that prevents you from becoming the kind of person that you desire to be

The purpose of our Freedom in Christ program is to fellowship and celebrate God’s healing power in our lives through 12 steps and 8 recovery principles.

By working through and applying these biblical principles, we begin to grow spiritual. We become free from our addictive, compulsive, and dysfunctional behaviors. This freedom creates peace, serenity, joy, and most importantly a stronger personal relationship with God and others. As we progress through the program, we discover that our personal, loving, and forgiving higher power is Jesus Christ, the one and only true Higher Power.

We remove our masks by sharing our experiences, strengths, and hopes with one another. In addition, we become willing to accept God’s grace in solving life’s problems. This experience allows us to be changed.

Including such realities as:

• Abortion, abuse, adultery affection (or lack of it), aggravation, alcohol, anger, anxiety
• Codependent control
• Death, depression, despair, disgust (of self), divorce, domestic violence, drugs, dysfunctional family history
• Fear, financial recovery
• Gambling, grief
• Hatred
• Letting go, love and relationships, low self-esteem, lust
• Neglect
• People pleasing, pills, pornography, profanity, pride
• Racism, rage, rape, relationships
• Sadness, Selfishness, sex addiction, shame, stress … and more

Freedom in Christ Is:

• A safe place to share
• A refuge
• A place of belonging
• A place to care for others and be cared for
• A place where respect is given to each participant
• A place where confidentiality is highly regarded
• A place to learn
• A place to demonstrate genuine love
• A place to grow and become strong again
• A place of progress
• A place where you can remove your mask and allow others to know who you are
• A place for healthy challenges and healthy risks
• A possible turning point in your life

Freedom in Christ is NOT:

• A place for selfish control
• Therapy
• A place for secrets
• A place to look for dating relationships
• A place to rescue or be rescued by others
• A place for perfection
• A long-term commitment
• A place to judge others
• A quick fix
